Documentary on the Visit to China by Professor Pierangelo Pelucchi from Conservatorio statale di musica di Brescia "Luca Marenzio"
From December 8th to 9th, 2025, Professor Pierangelo Pelucchi, a professor of Conducting, Vocal Music, and Artistic Guidance at the Brescia Conservatory of Music in Italy, paid an academic visit to the China Conservatory of Music upon invitation. Professor Pelucchi, a recipient of the Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the renowned European journal Operaand Vice President of the European Choral Association. He is an opera conductor and educator with extensive international influence.

During his visit, on the afternoon of December 8th, Professor Pelucchi delivered an academic lecture titled "The Evolution of the Italian Musical Terminology System in the Piano Field and Its Correct Interpretation." The lecture systematically outlined the development of Italian musical terminology, analyzed the connection between the terminology system and the evolution of musical instruments, and, using notated examples from different periods along with diagrams and live demonstrations, explained the specific interpretive methods of terminology in musical practice. The lecture was hosted by relevant faculty members from the School of Education at the China Conservatory of Music.

On December 8th and 9th, Professor Pelucchi also conducted vocal masterclasses for students at the conservatory. Over the two-day period, he listened to performances by 16 students, providing guidance on aspects such as breath control, emotional expression, linguistic accuracy, and musical presentation. On December 10th, Professor Pelucchi conducted open masterclasses for students in the "Progetto Giovani Talenti Italo-Cinesi" covering both piano and vocal directions. In the piano session, he focused on explaining the stylistic characteristics and touch techniques of Italian works, elucidating the relationship between musical ideas and emotional expression through the analysis of musical structure. In the vocal session, he provided detailed guidance on students' breath support, Italian pronunciation, and dramatic expressiveness.

On December 12th, Professor Pelucchi visited the Hubei Vocational College of Art and held an open masterclass in the college's concert hall. The event attracted a large number of teachers and students, fostering a lively atmosphere for exchange. The class focused on the core techniques of Italian bel cantoand the artistic interpretation of Italian vocal repertoire. From the dual professional perspectives of conductor and artistic coach, Professor Pelucchi provided one-on-one guidance to several students, covering aspects such as singing technique, linguistic treatment, musical expression, and stage performance.
